We deal with many of Australia’s leading insurers, including household names such as Allianz, CGU, QBE, Vero and Zurich plus a host of specialist underwriting agencies that enable us find the right insurance policies and cover for your needs.
Our 7 brokers have over 200 years of experience in general insurance. This provides customers with a valuable and stable resource they can trust to assist with their insurance needs. With an emphasis on providing excellence in claims handling and settlement.
We service small to large business and rural clients throughout Western Australia.
South Coast Insurance Brokers WA Pty Ltd is a Principal Member of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), the industry professional body. NIBA membership requires adherence to a strict Code of Practice, ongoing professional development and a high standard of ethics. We also subscribe to the General Insurance Brokers’ Code of Practice.

Nathan Hadlow (Managing Director) is a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker (QPIB) He has completed a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). He has over thirty two years’ experience in the insurance industry; ten years with major insurers in commercial underwriting and claims and has worked as a general insurance broker in all classes of general insurance since 1998. Nathan loves starting the day with a swim down at Middleton Beach and is involved in the Albany Classic Motorsport Club Inc and the annual Albany Classic Motor Event.
Anastasia has completed the Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and is a Qualified Practicing Insurance Professional (QPIB). Anastasia is also a Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). Anastasia was born and raised in Albany and completed her education to very high standard at Albany Senior High School. Anastasia then worked in Retail and Hospitality before joining South Coast Insurance Brokers in January 2016. Anastasia is extremely capable and attended the Allianz Young Eagle Program in May 2018. Anastasia was appointed an Account Manager in June 2018 and has her own portfolio of clients. Anastasia enjoys relaxing at home and plays both codes of football, soccer and aussie rules in the Great Southern Women’s football league in Albany.
Ryan is a fifth-generation Albany local, who has returned home with his young family after spending the past 15 years working mainly as an Account Manager for Insurance Brokers in both Perth & Melbourne. Ryan specialises in commercial risks such as Engineering, Mining, Transport, Earthmoving, and Aquaculture and gets a lot of joy in building long, sustainable relationships with his clients. When not at work, Ryan loves spending time with his family, going on adventures, and heading to the beach. He also has a keen interest in most sports, but especially enjoys Aussie Rules, Basketball, and Golf, and is currently active within the local basketball community as a coach of several junior teams. Ryan is also a current member of the Albany Golf Club.
With over 40 years working in the insurance sector, Rayna has worked for a variety of brokers and insurers in both Perth and Albany, and as such, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to South Coast Insurance Brokers. Strata Insurance is one of her specialties, and building strong relationships with her clients while providing/finding resolutions in relation to their insurance needs is one of the things she enjoys about working in this sector. By completing both insurance-related courses (Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking)), as well as tertiary qualifications (including a Bachelor of Science (Lib Tech)), Rayna shows a commitment to education, that can only be of benefit to her clients.
She and her family chose to move to the Great Southern in 2003 to a more “civilized” climate and now lives on a lifestyle property halfway between Albany and Denmark. Socially, Rayna likes to unwind by watching TV in the evenings or reading a novel. She loves dancing and the occasional bushwalk, and has been known to partake of the local vintage as well.
Lisa Symmans is a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker (QPIB) and has completed a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking). Lisa has over twenty nine years’ experience in the insurance industry; Eleven years as a Commercial Claims officer with SGIO and SGIC specialising in Workers Compensation claims management. Lisa has worked at South Coast Insurance Brokers since 2003 as an Office Broker. Lisa is a long term member of the Albany Surf Life Saving Club, enjoys walking and swimming and is a proud member/supporter of the West Coast Eagles.
Tracey Donaldson is a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker (QPIB) and has completed a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking). Tracey has over thirty four years’ experience in the insurance industry, working for both Insurance companies and brokers. Tracey joined South Coast Insurance Brokers in September 2015 as an Office Broker and has a broad knowledge of the Australian insurance market in all classes of insurance. Tracey loves cooking and enjoying time with her friends and pottering around her lifestyle property on the weekends.
Brian and has worked in the insurance industry in excess of 40 years and joined our office in February 2015. He has completed a Diploma in Insurance and Finance and a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Commencing his career at SGIO he progressed to became an assistant manager at RiskCover and since 1995 he has worked for two of the world’s largest international brokers, as a specialist consultant in worker’s compensation claims management and injury management services. Brian’s work enables our clients to enjoy a smooth passage through what can often be an adversarial and complex area of insurance. Resultant reduction in claims costs will ensure that premium savings are generated. With his years of experience, Brian can ensure clients to meet Legislative requirements by assisting to write and modify claims and injury management procedures, including implementation and training of staff at the appropriate levels. We are proud to able to offer this unrivalled service to existing and new clients throughout the state. When not at work, Brian enjoys working around the yard at home and social dancing with his wife Sheelagh. Brian also shares an interest in motorsport like Nathan.
Lois has completed the Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and is a Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). Lois is an Albany local and has worked in hospitality and was employed at QBE Albany for just over two years prior to the office closing in December 2017. Lois joined South Coast Insurance Brokers in January 2018 and is employed as a Broker Assistant and works with the Office Brokers and Account Managers on Rural and Commercial new business, renewals and endorsements. Lois also assists Nathan with Broad Acre Crop insurance and claims. Lois has a great work ethic and has become a valuable part of the team. Lois enjoys getting out and about in Albany, camping and enjoying good food with her friends.
Alec joined South Coast Insurance Brokers in December 2019 and has completed his Tier 2 ASIC qualification. Prior to this Alec worked in the camping/fishing retail sector here in Albany where he honed his skills in customer service. Alec was raised in Perth before moving to Denmark in 2014 and completed his education at the West Australian College Of Agriculture Denmark. Alec has now settled in Albany and identified Insurance Broking as a career he would like to pursue. Alec’s role is split between reception duties and broker assistant and is usually the first point of contact in the office. Alec assists Chani with domestic new business, domestic renewals, claims lodgement and ongoing claims management as well as looking after the office generally. On the weekend, Alec enjoys fishing and “burning a bit of powder” (shooting). Alec also has a keen interest in Australian military history.
Following a new addition to her family, Danelle decided a change of career was overdue, having spent 10 years working in the real estate sector, mainly as a Property Manager with local real estate firms. Danelle has recently joined our team, bringing with her many transferrable skills that will be useful in her role as Claims Broker. When not assisting clients to negotiate their way through the claims process, Danelle loves spending time with her family (both human and furry) and friends, especially if this involved being outdoors – camping, 4WD-ing, and being at the beachbeing some of her favourite activities.
